Statement of Attainment in Community Events Training
Date: Saturday 21 May, Saturday 28 May and Saturday 4 June (Must attend all 3 days to recieve Statement of Attainment).
This course is aimed at people who are involved in managing community events. This program will help you to develop core skills needed to successfully manage events, including developing site plans, meeting food safety requirements, using event technology, booking suppliers, risk management and project management.
This program will address the following Nationally Recognised Units of Competency:
SITXEVT301 Access information on event operations – covers information on basic event legalities such as insurances, food safety etc, event technology (useful for marketing via social media etc), a run-down of how the events industry works and things like employability in the industry.
SITTTSL306 Book supplier services – covers issues such as how to communicate with suppliers, how to look for them, basic templates to use for communications, keeping things professional etc
SITXEVT505 Manage on-site event management plans – covers aspects of preparing for events (critical time paths and other documentation), monitoring the event from bump in to bump out, can incorporate some risk factors into it such as conducting a risk assessment etc.
Training will be delivered by TAFE NSW. Participants will need to have a Unique Student Identifier (USI) number. This is a Federal Government requirement that all students undertaking accredited courses are required to have. To get a USI log on to the link below and complete the registration form. Please bring the number with you to the first day of class as the teacher will need to write it on their enrolment form.
